Disclosure Policy
I started this business because I believe that your perfect home can and should be comfortable, beautiful and affordable — yes, even when you have sticky hands and muddy footprints to contend with.
I enjoy sharing my own tips and advice so that YOU can create a space you love that’s stylish yet family-friendly.
Obviously it costs money to run a business, and there are several ways I make money to cover those costs.
Affiliate Marketing
What’s affiliate marketing? It means that if you click on a link on my site and make a purchase at that retailer, I receive a teeny commission because of your purchase at no additional cost to you.
I want to assure you that I only recommend products that I either already use and love, or would buy for myself.
For example, I participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for me to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliate sites. I also work with ShareASale and RewardStyle.
When I use affiliate links on my site, I’ll disclose that to you. Thank you so much for your support and for purchasing great home decor through my affiliate links.
Paid Posts or Product Reviews
Sometimes I am paid to provide my opinion and review of certain products, or I receive products for free with the expectation that I will share my honest thoughts about those products with my readers. If that’s the case, I will disclose that to you in the beginning of the post. All opinions are mine, and I only recommend products that I either use and love, or would by for myself.
The thoughts and opinions shared here on Kate Decorates are purely mine. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question.

Mediavine serves content and advertisements when you visit the Website, which may use first and third-party cookies. A cookie is a small text file which is sent to your computer or mobile device (referred to in this policy as a “device”) by the web server so that a website can remember some information about your browsing activity on the Website.

First party cookies are created by the website that you are visiting.

IP Address

Operating System type

Operating System version

Device Type

Language of the website

Web browser type

Email (in hashed form)

Mediavine Partners may also separately collect data about end users from other sources, such as advertising IDs or pixels, and link that data to data collected from Mediavine publishers in order to provide interest-based advertising across your online experience, including devices, browsers and apps. This data includes usage data, cookie information, device information, information about interactions between users and advertisements and websites, geolocation data, traffic data, and information about a visitor’s referral source to a particular website.
